Nokia has started rolling out the Android 8.1 update for its flagship device the Nokia 8. According to some reports from Beebom HMD Global's Chief Product officer, Juo Sarvikas made this announcement on Twitter.
The reports further gives a clear picture of what changes the new update brings to Nokia 8.Let's have a look at whats new in the changelog.
The new Android 8.1 Oreo update brings a Revamped Power menu along with new Settings Menu. The new update also shows Bluetooth battery percentage and it also gets February security patch.
The update has started rolling out now and the users should see it on their device soon. If in any case a user doesn't receive he update we will advice them to wait for a little while as these updates usually take some time to get to all the devices.

Nokia 8 features a 5.3 inches Capacitive Touchscreen display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. Display type IPS QHD and the device uses Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for screen protection.
On the hardware side the smartphone makes use of an Octa-core (4x2.45 GHz Kryo and 4x1.9 GHz Kryo), Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 that is coupled with Adreno 540 GPU, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB Storage default memory capacity. This storage can be expanded up to 256 GB with the help of an external microSD Card.
On the imaging front, the Nokia 8 sports a 13 MP + 13 MP Dual Camera with Yes, Geo Tagging, HDR, 4k Video, Dual-Sight mode. Up front, the smartphone from Nokia makes use of a 13 MP Camera selfie camera.
The connectivity aspects on board the Nokia 8 includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, v5.0, A2DP, LE, v3.1, Type-C reversible connector, with A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS. Hybrid Dual Sim (nano + nano/microSD).
